The meeting between Knesset Chairman Reuven Rivlin and the Migron evacuees has ended. During the meeting, Rivlin said, “There should be no more lobbying for Migron. Without a government decision on the importance of Migron making it legal, no contrivances or delays will work. The government has the authority to approve Migron and prevent its evacuation. The government should be urged to take a stand on Migron. The lack of clarity on this issue serves no purpose.”

Migron Founder Itai Harel said after the meeting, “We intend to meet with ministers and IDF officials to make Migron legal. We will meet anyone who can assist us to this end.” Harel added, “There is no doubt that Rivlin identifies with the Migron residents and supports Jewish settlement in the whole land of Israel.”
