Ahmad Al-Shaibani, a senior member of the Libyan rebel council, said, Tuesday morning, that "Israel has an international role. We hope that Israel can collect the power it has in the international sphere to help our goals."

Interviewed by Israel Defense Forces Radio, Al-Shaibani warned of the Al-Qaeda terrorist organization taking over in his country. He continued, "If Al-Qaeda takes the reins in Libya, it will be an international problem and not just Libya's." He added that fugitive Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi has not been completely ousted and is controlling things from the outside, explaining that Qaddafi has "returned to his old profession as a terrorist."
