An Israeli woman escaped this week after being kidnapped by a sadistic torturer in Germany. The woman managed to jump from a window surrounded by barbed wire while handcuffed.
She made her way to police and told them about her ordeal. Her captor, a German man named Thomas Fischer, had prepared a bomb-rigged soundproof cell in his apartment filled with torture instruments. Police said Fischer had evidently planned to hold the woman hostage “for some time.”
A local Chabad rabbi spoke to the 26-year-old woman after her escape and reported that she was traumatized, but safe. The woman is planning her return to Israel, he said.
