Jew Attacked in Shiloach

Police are looking for an eastern-Jerusalem Arab who injured a Jewish youth and took a handgun away from him, Tuesday morning, in the Jewish-Arab neighborhood of Shiloach (Silwan in Arabic). The suspect threw the gun away as he fled. The victim was able to take himself to Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hospital to be treated for light wounds.

On Monday evening, cars belonging to Jewish worshippers who came to the Western Wall for 9th of Av observances and reporters who came to cover the event were vandalized. The cars were parked near the Dung Gate. Damage included smashed windows, punctured tires and damage to the bodies of the cars.

Thousands more Jews are expected to continue the observances throughout the day on Tuesday.
