MK Shama: Protest Leaders Irresponsible

The demands made by student organizers in the housing protest “show they are young and idealistic, but irresponsible and lacking a national perspective,” MK Carmel Shama-Hacohen (Likud) said Tuesday. He added, “The road to national bankruptcy is paved with good, overly expensive intentions.”

However, Shama-Hacohen expressed approval for some of the demands, including a request for increased government housing assistance and a demand to decrease the VAT.
