Erdogan Threatens Gaza Visit if No Israeli Apology

Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan plans to visit the Gaza Strip if Israel continues to refuse to apologize to Turkey for the Mavi Marmara incident, Turkish media reported on Wednesday.

The Turkey-based newspaper Hurriyet quoted Turkish diplomatic sources who said that Erdogan was planning to enter the Gaza Strip via the Rafah crossing during his visit to Egypt which will begin Thursday, but decided to postpone the visit due to the fact that the UN commission that investigated the Marmara incident plants to publish its findings next week.
