Migron: No Agreement to Seal Homes

Residents of Migron denied, on Tuesday, a report by Channel 10 television that they agreed to seal permanent buildings in the Binyamin-region Jewish community rather than have them destroyed by the Civil Administration for Judea and Samaria. The Defense Ministry committed to the Supreme Court to destroy the buildings by Friday in response to a suit that has since been withdrawn.

According to the report, the sealing offer was the result of contacts with Prime Minister's Office and sources with the diplomatic-security cabinet. A representative of Migron told Arutz Sheva Tuesday morning that the report was slanted and, "The will and efforts to reach a peaceful solution without the destruction of the houses have been undertaken by representatives of the community and the local council for about a month and a half, but the Defense Ministry insists on refusing and is still threatening to destroy the homes."
