Friday marks the 35th anniversary on the Hebrew calendar of the Israeli rescue of passengers from a hijacked Air France flight in Entebbe, Uganda. Killed during an exchange of gunfire with the terrorist hijackers and Ugandan soldier was Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Netanyahu, a brother of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. The rescue, originally named Operation Thunderbolt, was renamed Operation Jonathan.

Prime Minister Netanyahu will take part in a memorial service for his brother at the Mount Herzl military cemetery, starting at noon.
