Three residents of the Samarian Jewish community of Yitzhar were arrested Thursday afternoon after dozens of Yitzhar residents demonstrated in the Samarian Arab village of Huwara to protest Wednesday night's carjacking from a Yitzhar resident by two Arabs. Police say they found knives in the possession of the ones who were arrested.
Traffic at the Huwara Junction was blocked in all directions, and rock fights broke out between the Yitzhar residents and Arab motorists before authorities arrived.
