Coalition chairman MK Ze’ev Elkin (Likud) said on Wednesday that Deputy State Prosecutor Shai Nitzan is not the person to blame for Rabbi Dov Lior’s arrest and interrogation.
“I have a dispute with Nitzan and his team, but since I know the confidential materials with which his team works, it would be wrong to blame Nitzan,” Elkin told Arutz Sheva’s Hebrew website. “The problem is that Nitzan does what the system tells him. Unfortunately, the state prosecutor and Justice Department think they are a country unto themselves. They set up teams and selectively enforce the law.”
