    Arrests in Yitzhar

About 100 police raided the offices of the Kol Hayehudi (Jewish Voice) news agency in the Samarian Jewish community of Yitzhar Monday morning, confiscated computers and arrested two of its reporters. Local residents said the arrests were related to last night's disclosure of a letter written by Judea and Samaria division commander Nitzan Alon, in which he called for profiling of soldiers in the division who live in Judea and Samaria, in order to keep them away from information about planned evictions.

Kol Hayehudi responded by saying, "Freedom of expression has again been trampled by the Shabak [Israel Security Agency and Deputy State Prosecutor] Shai Nitzan. The use of secret material against media working in the open shows who is in the right."
