Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Thursday evening, "My instructions are clear: to act with restraint but with the firmness needed to protect our communities, our citizens and our borders," ahead of Sunday's scheduled demonstrations by hostile Arabs to mark the 44th anniversary of the start of the Six-Day War. Speaking at an international hi-tech gathering at Jerusalem's Binyanei Hauma convention center, Netanyahu noted that on May 15th, "We were witness to the attempts of our enemies to breach our borders, shared provocations by Iran, Syria, Hizbullah and Hamas."
He continued, "The same entities are expected, in the next few days, to challenge our sovereignty and undermine the state's borders. Israel, like any other country in the world, reserves the right and the responsibility to guard its borders and protect them."
