Al Qaeda terrorists invaded and took over the town of Zinjibar in Yemen on Friday and spent the weekend solidifying their control over the town, reports and witnesses said. Zinjibar is the capital of Abyan province in south central Yemen.

Witnesses said that some 300 heavily armed terrorists entered the town and began looting homes. An official government spokesperson confirmed the report, saying that 18 people were killed by the terrorists.
