Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Thursday that, "Climatic changes during the last year in Europe and Asia are a result of the emptying of rain clouds initiated by European countries, which caused an abundance of rain there and dryness in Iran and the region."

The IRNA news agency, which carried Ahmadinejad's words, said he made them during the dedication of a dam and that he intends to take legal action against the practice to prevent its continuation.
