Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who was shot and wounded four months ago, was recovering on Wednesday from a successful cranioplasty in Houston, the Houston Chronicle reported.
According to the report, Giffords was in Memorial Hermann Hospital’s intensive care unit and doing well.
Cranioplasty is a procedure in which a portion of the skull is replaced with either original bone tissue or plastic implants.
