Transportation and Road Safety Minister Yisrael Katz visited the Samarian Jewish community of Itamar on Friday morning and said he intended to allocate funds to maintain local infrastructure, including access roads to the community and area educational institutions.
The community is still recovering from the murder of five members of the Fogel family almost two months ago. Katz was asked how Israel should react if the Palestinian Authority declares a state in September. He responded that in such a case, Israel should apply Israeli sovereignty to all of Judea and Samaria.
