Ecuador’s government said on Wednesday that it removed U.S. Ambassador Heather Hodges from the country in order “to protect the dignity” of its President, Rafael Correa.
Hodges was ousted from Ecuador after documents which were exposed on WikiLeaks revealed that the U.S. Embassy in Ecuador believed that Correa had knowledge about political corruption in his country.
