A Syrian website charged Thursday that not all of the hundreds of thousands who demonstrated on behalf of Syrian president Bashar Al-Assad this week were motivated purely by love for the president. The website said the regime threatened to fire state workers who did not take part in the demonstrations.
The Facebook page of the Flash Syria network posted a notice by the Tartus district governor instructing local governments to guarantee the participation of most of their workers in the demonstrations.
