Qaddafi Handing Out Money

Embattled Libyan leader Muamar Qaddafi ordered the distribution of money to Libyan citizens on Friday as a way of defusing anti-government tension.

In addition, salaries were raised, as were food subsidies, and conditions for borrowing money.
