Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with reserve general Ya'akov Amidror, Monday evening, in an effort to replace Uzi Arad as National Security Advisor. The meeting led to reports that Amidror had been selected to fill the position.
The Prime Minister's Office confirmed the meeting, calling Amidror "one of the leading candidates". A statement by the office said that Netanyahu will meet with other candidates and announce his final decision in the next few days.
