Helen Thomas, the veteran journalist who was fired for her anti-Jewish comments made another historically questionable statement on CNN this week. She stated that following the Holocaust, Jewish residents of Europe could have simply returned to their former homes as opposed to going to Israel. Thomas stated, that Jewish residents "didn’t have to go anywhere really, because they weren't being persecuted anymore. But they were taking other people’s land.” Thomas is of Lebanese-Arab heritage.
