Israeli tennis star Shahar Peer advanced to the quarterfinals of the Dubai Open women's tennis tournament Thursday with a 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 victory over Yanina Wickmayer of Belgium.
The ninth-seeded Pe'er will face the winner of the match between top-seeded Caroline Wozniacki and Ayumi Morita.
