Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of the United States has chosen former ambassador to Turkey Marc Grossman to replace Richard Holbrooke as America's representative in Afghanistan and Pakistan, according to a senior State Department source cited by the Washington Post Monday evening. An official announcement is expected Friday.
Holbrooke died of a ruptured aorta in December. He was replaced on an interim basis by his deputy, Frank Ruggiero.
