Defense attorney Eitan Lehman concluded a plea bargain arrangement Thursday with prosecutors in the case of internet journalist Anat Kam, who passed secret information from then Central District Commander Yair Naveh to Haaretz journalist Uri Blau while she was in military service. The sides are scheduled to formally sign the agreement on Sunday and present it to the Tel Aviv District court in a week.

A revised indictment will not include clauses charging Kam with harming state security so she does not face a life sentence. Her guilty plea will be based on charges of possessing and passing secret material, which carries a maximum of 15 years behind bars. A decision on Blau is expected in the next few weeks.
