Jerusalem Eruv Linked to Northern Neighborhoods

Jerusalem city councilwoman Yael Antebi has informed residents of the Pisgat Ze'ev and Neve Ya'akov neighborhoods, at the northern end of the city, that the city's religious council has connected the eruv, a symbolic border, to that of the two neighborhoods. The eruv demarcates the area in which Jews are allowed to carry objects or do things such as pushing baby carrieages on Shabbat without being in violation of Jewish law.

Councilwoman Antebi stressed that the connection is via the old road that connects the rest of the city with Pisgat Ze'ev and not the relatively new bridge route.
