Warning Against Sale of Developer to PA Source

An attorney representing residents of the first phase of the Nof-Tzion religious Zionist neighborhood in Jerusalem sent a letter on Thursday to the Diegel company, which developed the project, saying that if Diegel is sold to "A Palestinian concern with an American passport," the residents will suffer at least 100 million shekels in damage.

In his letter, attorney Motti Minzer told of initial representations that included a hotel connecting the project to the nearby Armon Hanatziv promenade. He said there is a basis for believing that other phases of the project could be discontinued as a result of the sale, leaving the first phases as an isolated indefensible Jewish pocket in the predominantly Arab neighborhood of Jabel Mukabar.
