The Knesset Interior and Environmental Protection Committee approved new noise-pollution rules on Monday. The, rules, which were developed by Environmental Protection Minister Gilad Erdan, are scheduled to go into effect in three months.
The new rules include the banning of leaf blowers and certain kinds of car alarms, toughening of the conditions under which one is allowed to be noisy in public and limiting the hours when noise is allowed.
