Some of the documents published on Sunday by WikiLeaks say that Iran used Red Crescent ambulances to smuggle weapons and intelligence agents into Lebanon during the Second Lebanon War in 2006.

According to information gathered by the U.S. State Department and cited in the documents, the Iranian Red Crescent made ambulances available to Iran's Revolutionary Guards for the purpose of transferring forces and equipment to Lebanon as well as Iraq. The Red Crescent has denied the allegations.
