Kadima Wins in Yeruham City Elections

The southern Israeli town of Yeruham held city council elections yesterday and the winner is Michael Bitton of the Kadima Party with 44% percent of the total votes. Likud representative Moti Abisror won 30% of the vote and Ilan Elmakies of Yisrael Beiteinu (Israel Our Home) received 21%. Kadima was a proponent of the Disengagment from Gaza. Yisrael Beiteinu mainly represents Russian Israelis.
