Israel Sends Construction Aid to Gaza

250 tons of construction materials, including pipes and iron for building, entered the Gaza Strip on Monday in order to upgrade a sewage treatment plant in a central Gaza neighborhood. This according to a report by the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories Spokesman.

The Spokesman added that 180 trucks, carrying food and various fuels, also entered the Gaza Strip via the Kerem Shalom Crossing. The transfer of equipment was carried out despite the recent firing of mortar rounds and rockets by terrorists at Israel's southern communities, as per a decision by Defense Minister Ehud Barak and the IDF that the crossings remain open.
