One of the tunnels on the Gaza border destroyed in an IDF raid Saturday night was actually being dug in the direction of Israel, and was to be used to send terrorists into Israel, the IDF said Sunday. The tunnel's entrance was located south of Khan Yunis, and extended under the border with Israel, with its exit set to be near Kibbutz Nir Oz in the Eshkol region.

IDF forces remain on high alert in Judea and Samaria, as a result of the terrorist attack near Beit Hagai last week, along with several other attempted attacks, an army spokesperson said.
