Following Monday's news that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu had signed away control of access roads to the Palestinian Authority (PA) city of Rawabi to the PA, the Binyamin Residents' Council revived a campaign slogan from a few weeks ago that said Netanyahu was trampling the Jewish settlement enterprise. They said, first there was the construction freeze in Judea and Samaria, then the brutal destruction of homes such as the one Monday morning, and now the transfer of control of Jewish land to the Arabs.

The council's statement continued, "Netanyahu has lost his sense of justice and morality and is essentially encouraging the Arabs to continue on the path of terror and violence, which only grants them diplomatic gains at the expense of Jews." The transfer of the Rawabi road cuts off access of the Jewish communities of Ateret and Neve Tzuf to Highway 60 and splits western Binyamin from eastern Binyamin.
