Rabbi Yaakov Yosef said Sunday that he was removing his support from the parents of Sephardic girls who petitioned the High Court to require the Beit Yaakov school in Emanuel to include their children in the “Hassidic track” in the school. Rabbi Yosef, son of former Chief Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, says he has received threats to his life over his involvement in the case.
Speaking to Israel Radio, Rabbi Yosef said that there were 33 other rabbis involved in the case, and they could decide how to proceed.
