Police Arrest Ben-Gvir After Emanuel Protest

As promised, police arrested right-wing activist Itamar Ben-Gvir after he protested Thursday morning, when White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and his family arrived at the Kotel for his son's Bar-Mitzvah. Ben-Gvir shouted slogans at Emanuel, calling him an “anti-Semite.”

Earlier, police had threatened to arrest Ben-Gvir if he interfered in any way with the Bar Mitzvah of Rahm Emanuel's son, he would be arrested on the spot. In response, Ben-Gvir said that “Jerusalem police will not succeed in shutting me up. It is my right to protest against someone who wants us to give the Kotel away and who agitates against Israel. I will sue any policeman who touches me,” he said.
