Housing Minister Ariel Atias says that if there are no court objections more than 10,000 apartments in the northern Haredi religious town of Harish will be put on the market at the end of 2010.

Harish, located in the predominantly Arab “triangle area” of the southern Galilee, has been a ghost town since it was built in the late 90’s and was recently re-designated as a Haredi town. The Haredi public, which mainly resides in the center of the country, is in dire need of affordable housing.
