Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas publicized on Monday a law making it illegal to market goods produced at Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. The law also sets guidelines for the management of the PA boycott of those goods.
The chairman's legal advisor says the law sets forth harsh punishment for violators, calling the Jewish communities "a cancer in the Palestinian body which harms, people, the ground and their destiny." Last week, PA customs authorities confiscated nine tons of plastic products from the Samarian Jewish community of Barkan that were smuggled in a garbage container en route to Hevron.
