The UN Human Rights Commission on Thursday approved a resolution demanding that Israel compensate Gaza Arabs for damages that occurred to property during Operation Cast Lead. The vote passed 29-6. The U.S. voted against it. The resolution was originally proposed by Pakistan, and it has no provision that would require Hamas to compensate Israelis for damage caused by the thousands of Kassam rockets fired at Israel over the past several years.
