The Yeshiva of the Temple Mount and the Temple Mount movements are calling to dismiss Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger from his post following statements he made today regarding the building of the Temple.

Chief Rabbi of Israel Yona Metzger said tonight (Monday) at the inauguration of the Hurva synagogue in the Old City that the Jewish people have no desire to go up on the Temple Mount to build the Temple. According to Rabbi Metzger, only G-d can build the Third Temple.

"The Jewish people pray and do whatever they can to bring about the rebuilding of the Temple" Temple activists said.
