In an interview, Knesset speaker Reuven Rivlin (Likud) said that Israel must remain firm on building in Jerusalem. Rejecting Arab demands that Israel not reopen the Hurva Synagogue Monday, Rivlin said that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu needed to make clear to the Americans that there were certain things Israel could not compromise on, such as the division of Jerusalem, which is a “red line” for Israel.
