Knesset Approves Compensation for Jewish Refugees

The Knesset approved the second and third reading of a bill on Monday evening to preserve the rights of Jews who were refugees from Iran and Arab countries as part of negotiations for Middle East peace.

According to the bill, initiated by Member of Knesset Nissim Ze'ev (Shas), compensation for loss of property will be part of the negotiations, even if the compensation is not a condition for peace.
