The Israel Electric Company reported Thursday afternoon that power was restored to a number of communities in the Binyamin region of Samaria.
The utility is asking the public tie down or remove outdoor items that might be blown into power lines by winds that are forecast to reach 60 kilometers or 37 miles an hour Thursday and Friday. Wind-related outages are the only kind in the forecast since the company says its ability to generate power is not expected to be affected. It said the telephone number 103 is only to be used to report outages or hazards.
