At the closing address of the Herzliya Conference Wednesday night, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanayahu announced a new program to ensure preservation of Jewish historical and archaeological sites throughout Israel. Netanyanhu announced that two new Israel Trails would be established – one for archaeological sites, and one for important sites in modern Israeli history.

In his speech, Netanyahu spoke at length of the the importance of preserving tradition and instilling it in youth as an important survival strategy for Israel.
