Prime Minister of Turkey, Rajab Tayyip Erdogan, said Monday in an interview with a European news outlet that Israel’s behavior toward the Turkish ambassador has "no place in international politics" and that it needs to think about the consequences of “losing Turkey as a friend”.
Israel has been angered over a number of recent anti-Israel television shows broadcast on Turkish television depicting Israeli soldiers as purposely killing Arab children. Political observers say Turkey has made a conscious effort to side with Iran and join the Islamic axis.
