Gazan Arabs succeeded in cutting a portion of the steel fence that Egypt began building on the border with the Gaza strip.
Sources involved in the tunnels used for smuggling told the website "Palestine - Al-Yom" that tunnel diggers were able to cut a section of the steel fence that blocked one of the tunnels. Smugglers predicted that the new barrier would not prevent them from continuing their smuggling trade.
Several days ago, Gazan Arabs shot at Egypt workers hired to build the fence, and the Hamas has organized demonstrations to protest the border fence that would hinder Gazan smugglers.
Leftist organizations in Europe are planning to protest against Egypt in response to building the fence.
