'Hareidi Mother' Not Guilty of Violating Release Terms Reported: 16:06 PM - Nov/22/09
(IsraelNN.com) Jerusalem District Court Judge Moshe Ravid ruled Sunday against a prosecution petition to cite the woman from the Mea Shearim neighborhood who is accused of starving her son for violation of the terms of her release from custody pending the completion of her trial. The prosecution sought forfeiture of her bail, claiming, among other things, that the woman had stopped taking her other children to medical exams and before that, welfare workers had not accompanied the children to the exams. The judge ruled that the stoppage of the medical visits was tied to the fact that the woman gave birth last week, and that the law did not require the welfare workers to be present. The court also ruled that the guarantors of bail were exempt from supervising the woman, as called for under the conditions of her release. The guarantors will present a new supervision program 24 hours after she is released from the maternity ward. ![]() Check out the Chill Zone - Funny, Entertaining Videos © IsraelNN Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
