Custody Extended for Ovdat Vandalism Suspects

(IsraelNN.com) The Be'er Sheva Magistrates Court on Thursday extended by eight days the custody of Negev Bedouin Hassan and Ahmed Al-Ramek, arrested in connection with the recent act of vandalism that caused an estimated 10 million shekels in damage at the Ovdat national archaeological park, north of Eilat. The are also suspected of threatening Nature Authority employees. The motive was revenge for the demolition of the family house.

A 17-year-old suspect in the case was remanded for an additional five days. The custody of another suspect was extended for an additional week.
