Hamas has not succeeded in forcing Gaza terrorists loyal to the Al-Qaeda organization to accept an amnesty and join its ranks, according to sources close to the world jihad cited Friday by the London-based Arabic daily Ash-Sharq Il-Awsat. Hamas asked three groups of jihadists not to engage in military activity against Israel or Hamas's Gaza leadership.
Dozens were killed this summer in clashes between Hamas and one group, Jund Ansar Allah. Leaders of three groups said Hamas is just trying to silence them and demanded that Hamas release imprisoned members of the groups and return confiscated weapons.
