Marshak: We'll Press the Prisons Service on Hamas Gifts

Yoel Marshak, an activist for the release of Gilad Shalit, said Thursday that he would press the Israel Prisons Service to allow Hamas prisoners to receive packages sent to them from Gaza Thursday morning. A hundred packages were brought to the Karni crossing from Gaza into other parts of Israel, where they were exchanged for the package brought by Noam Shalit, the father of the abducted Israeli soldier.

The fate of the Shalit package is unknown, given Hamas's fear that Israel has placed tracking devices inside. The prisons service has blocked delivery of the packages intended for the Hamas prisoners in response to the Almagor umbrella organization of terror victims, which says it would be an improper political demonstration.
