The far-left J Street activist group, which bills itself as being “pro-Israel”, includes pro-Arab and even pro-Iranian activists. According to a recent report in the Jerusalem Post, the organizations finance committee includes members such as Richard Abdoo, a former board member of the Arab American Institute (AAI), and Genevieve Lynch, who is also a board member of the National Iranian American Council (NIAC).
J Street, as well as Americans for Peace, have recently both come out in opposition to sanctions intended to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear bomb. The Israeli government strongly favors the sanctions.
In addition, Noah Pollak writing in Commentary Magazine recently revealed that J Street's polls claiming to show US Jewish support for Israeli concessions were conducted by none other than J Street's own former vice president, Jim Gerstein. J Street was founded with an initial investment by radical American businessman George Soros.
