Protests to Prevent Autopsy on Murdered Jew

Dozens of hareidi-religious Jews protested the request by police to conduct an autopsy on a man who was murdered by an Arab during a monetary dispute at a Jerusalem hostel Sunday night. Some of the protesters threw stones at the police. In response, the police used pepper gas, tear gas, and shock bombs to disperse the crowd. Two Ichud Hatzalah emergency paramedics and one Zaka burial society worker were inadvertently injured from the gas.

A Palestinian Authority Arab murdered a Jewish man on Sunday night in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Geula. Police quickly announced that the motive for the killing was a previous dispute between the two, and the attack was not a terrorist incident.

The murder took place at a hostel on Tzefania Street, where the attacker was employed. The two began fighting on Sunday morning, witnesses said, and continued to argue throughout the day. The Arab immediately fled from the scene. However, he was eventually apprehended by border police.
